Life has a way of teaching us to build walls around our hearts.
But what happens when we allow some of those walls to come down?
Into the Heart is an invitation to explore what it feels like to soften, open, and journey into the deepest parts of yourself.
Through intentional slow movement and a ceremonial cacao ritual, we’ll create space to move beyond the noise of the mind and listen more closely to the heart.
Come with an open mind.
Leave with a more open heart.
Into the Heart is a mini-retreat designed to help you open your heart and connect with the deepest parts of yourself. Together, we’ll take part in a ceremonial cacao ritual intended to open the heart and create space for deeper reflection and inner exploration. It’s an invitation to experience what can happen when we allow ourselves to move through the world with a more open heart.
All retreat purchases are non-refundable. In the case you cannot attend, your spot may be transferred to another person with advance notice.
the retreat experience
opening the heart
We move through so much of life guarded without even realizing it. This experience is an invitation to soften some of those walls, open yourself to feeling more deeply, and explore what becomes possible when you lead with the heart.
journey inward
Ceremonial cacao has long been used as a tool for reflection and connection. Through intentional practice, you’ll be given space to turn your attention inward, listen a little more closely, and explore the deeper parts of yourself.
space to receive
Not everything needs to be figured out or worked through. Sometimes we simply need space to feel, rest, and receive. We’ll close our time together with sound and stillness, allowing the experience to settle into the body before returning to the outside world.

Where is the retreat located?
The retreat will take place in a beautiful, refurbished schoolhouse originally built in 1924, located on the north side of Racine, Wisconsin, just minutes from Lake Michigan. The exact address will be provided after registration. What is ceremonial-grade cacao?
Ceremonial-grade cacao is 100% pure cacao. It retains its naturally occurring nutrients and has traditionally been used ceremonially to support reflection, connection, and opening the heart. What is a cacao ceremony?
A cacao ceremony is an intentional experience centered around gathering in circle and drinking warm ceremonial cacao. Imani will guide us through a gentle heart-opening journey supported by meditation, breathwork, journaling, and reflection. You’ll be invited to follow your own experience and take from the ceremony whatever you need. How will we be drinking the cacao?
The cacao will be prepared as a warm beverage using ceremonial-grade cacao and served together as part of the ceremony. We’ll drink it slowly and intentionally while Imani guides us into the experience. Can I participate if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
Ceremonial cacao contains naturally occurring theobromine and caffeine, so we recommend checking with your healthcare provider before participating if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Please also let us know ahead of time so we can make sure you feel supported during the experience. Are there any health conditions or medications I should consider before drinking cacao?
Ceremonial cacao may not be appropriate for everyone, particularly in larger ceremonial servings. If you have a heart condition, are sensitive to stimulants, take certain medications, or have another medical concern, please check with your healthcare provider before participating and reach out to us with any questions. What does cacao taste like?
Think rich, earthy, and chocolatey, but much less sweet than hot chocolate. Ceremonial cacao is made from pure cacao, so it has a deeper, slightly bitter flavor. What if I don’t want to drink cacao?
You can still participate in the mini-retreat. Please reach out to us ahead of time so we can talk through what would feel best for you during the ceremony.Do I need to have yoga experience to attend?
Not at all. This retreat is designed to be accessible for all levels. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or have been practicing for years, everything will be guided in a way that feels supportive and approachable. Will I have to share during the cacao ceremony?
No. There will be space for reflection and an opportunity to share if you feel called to, but sharing is always optional. You’re welcome to experience the ceremony entirely inwardly. What should I bring?
Comfortable clothes you can move and relax in, a yoga mat + blocks if you have them, a water bottle, and anything that helps you feel cozy during the sound bath, like a blanket, pillow, or extra layers. Will food be provided?
Food will not be served during the mini-retreat. We recommend having a nourishing brunch a few hours beforehand so you arrive satisfied, but without a completely full stomach. This allows you to more fully experience the cacao. Can I come alone?
Absolutely. Many people come to retreats on their own. The experience is intentionally designed to feel intimate and welcoming, with plenty of opportunities for both personal reflection and connection with others. How many people will attend?
We are intentionally limiting to just 12 participants to keep the experience intimate and create plenty of space for each person to move through the ceremony in their own way. What if I need to cancel?
Because space is limited, tickets are non-refundable. However, you are welcome to transfer your spot to a friend if you’re unable to attend.
